Where is my Home Country?

Where is a given person’s home country?

First who decides? Is it:

  • a) the person themselves?
  • b) someone else?

If (b) then I cannot answer the question, “Where is my home country?”

If (a) then I can answer: my home country must be one of the following:

  1. The country where I was born.
  2. The country I’ve lived the longest.
  3. The country where I live currently.

I think that is reasonable.

In my case, each of those is a different country. So I will answer at my own discretion according to circumstances.

In this circumstance, my home country is Finland.
