I read The Autobiography of Ben Franklin and it changed my life.
The whole book gave me a feeling of love and respect for this man whom I had never met that died 500 years before I was born.
But it was one particular passage in the book describing one idea that changed my life. (For the better).
It was the idea of “humility.”
And I learned the following two sentences from Ben which I wanted to use as instruction for my life at a foundational level:
- No contradiction to the sentiments of others
- No positive assertion of my own
In fact, I think I wil make sure I remember this by getting it tattooed to my body.
